Marianne Gee (EOBA Past President)

7:00   - The New EOBA Website

About Marianne:

Marianne became a beekeeper in 2009 when she and her husband Matt discovered and rescued a colony of honeybees living in the wall of her home.

Craig McCaffrey (EOBA President)

7:15   - Welcome Message

About Craig:

Craig has long been a Director of the EOBA and was previously president a few years ago. He has been a beekeeper for over 20 years and although only maintaining a few hives he’s passionate about the hobby!

Craig will deliver a welcome message and facilitate a question and answer after the keynote speaker.

Glenys Robinson (TTP Research Technician)

7:30   - Dealing with Spring time Deadouts

About Glenys:

Glenys fell in love with bees while doing her undergrad at the University of Guelph, where she studied International Development (specializing in rural and agricultural development). After graduating, she decided to dive into beekeeping head first, and took the Commercial Beekeeping program at Niagara College. In addition to bees, Glenys is interested in plants and fungi, and   likes to play around in the kitchen with canning and fermenting.

As our Keynote Speaker, Glenys will give us insights to the methods of inspecting and dealing with dead hives in the Spring.
